Driver Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: June 19, 2025
This policy outlines the cancellation rules and penalties applicable to drivers registered on the YanSeva platform.
1. Cancellation Before 1 Hour of Trip Start
- If a driver cancels a confirmed ride *less than 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time, a **penalty of 30% of the total ride fare* will be charged.
- This amount may be deducted from the driver’s wallet or future trip earnings.
2. Acceptable Reasons for Waiver
- Genuine emergencies such as accidents, vehicle breakdown, or medical issues must be reported to YanSeva Support immediately.
- Documentation may be required to waive the penalty.
3. Frequent Cancellations
- Drivers who cancel *more than 3 trips in a 7-day period* without valid reason may face temporary or permanent suspension.
- YanSeva reserves the right to review driver performance and enforce stricter penalties if required.
4. Trip Reassignment
When a driver cancels a confirmed trip, YanSeva will attempt to reassign the ride to another nearby driver to avoid inconvenience to the user.
5. How the Penalty Works
- The 30% penalty is calculated based on the total trip fare confirmed at the time of booking.
- No penalty is charged if the driver cancels more than 1 hour in advance.
